Halong Cruising with Huonghai Junk 2 Days 1 Night


Sailing in a romantic, traditional style and luxurious junk boat named Huong Hai through World Heritage Site Halong Bay while watching mystical limestone karsts jutting out of emerald water will bring you a memorable experience that cannot be missed.Huong Hai Junk is operating a fleet of built wooden junk designed in traditional style, with contemporary and deluxe cabins and facilities. All the cabins are designed and fitted to international standards, featuring a rich wooden décor with large windows from which to enjoy the spectacular scenery of Halong Bay.


At the moment, there are 2 junk types: Deluxe Huong Hai & Standard Class Huong Hai Junk. 60 cabins can accommodate large groups or inual travelers. Each cabin is equipped with Western private baths, hot water and air condition. Restaurant and bar service is available anytime. Huong Hai Junk-style boats will have two more in operation by December, which are made at Huong Hai boat yards by traditional shipwrights! Ranked 4 stars, these 2 boats will feature 12 cabins each, with bar dining room, massage, and outdoor yard to view land and sea scenery. The most luxurious junk boasts details of 47m long, 10m we, with 26 cabins, internet service, and an outdoor yard of 400m square, a large 160m square dining area, and mini bars in cabins. All of which is of 4 star standards.



Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Ha Noi – Ha Long (-/L/D)

We will pick you up at your hotel around 8 a.m. Enjoying 3-hours drive to Halong city, visitors will have a chance to see the rich ricefileds, water buffalos and daily Vietnamese village life on both side of the highway No.18. On arrival at Halong Bay, you will board Huong Hai traditional wooden junk, sip on welcoming drink  before starting the cruise trip from. Feast on a delicious lunch while cruise to majestic HaLong Bay, among beautiful islets of Dinh Huong, Mat Quy, Yen Ngua… Stop and visit Surprise Cave, one of the most  impressive grottos in the bay. Go swimming & sunbathing on pristine beaches of Ti Top and Soi Sim. Get on the top of Ti Top mountain to enjoy a panorama view of Halong bay in sunset. Get back on Huong Hai Junk and Relax on board with Vegetable/ Fruit Carving & Folding Napkin. Have dinner then relax with your partners, friends or join squid fishing with the crews. Overnight on boat.

(For kayaking option:After visiting Amazing cave, you can go kayaking and explore some caves near Ti Top Beach.)

Day 2: Ha LongHanoi (B/L/-)

Wake up, practice early morning Taichi exercise while enjoying spectacular sunrise on the bay. Have breakfast with coffee & tea. Explore Luon Cave on a small bamboo boat paddled by our crews.

Get back on HuongHai Junk and continue explore beautiful islets and fishing villages on the way back to Halong city. Arrange luggage before checking out. Have lunch. Arrive at Halong city for disembarkation. Transfer back to Hanoi by bus. The trip ends at around 4.00 pm.

Q: Do you have life jackets on boat?
Yes, that is one requirement for any boat/junk in Halong Bay.If you do not see this when boarding the junk, please ask for the instruction from the crew member or our captain.

Q: Can we travel from Hai Phong to Ha Long Bay?

Yes, you can! If you are already there in Hai Phong, you can call us to have a car and guide pick you up from there and drive to Halong , which should be less than 1,5 hours.

Q: What about seasick on boat?

If you look on Vietnam map, you will see Ha Long lies on the Tonkin Gulf with lots of island that made up Ha Long Bay. With its calm water, Ha Long Bay really acts as a shield that stops all of violent wave, so it’s hard to get sea sick in Ha Long Bay.

Q: Are there non-smoking areas on cruises?

Virtually all ships have smoking and non-smoking sections in the public rooms. In fact, many dining rooms, and even some entire ships, are now totally smoke-free, reflecting passenger requests. If you want your dining table in a non-smoking area, please advise the restaurant manager when boarding.

Q: Are there laundry services on board?

Most cruise ships have laundry facilities and many provide dry-cleaning services. There is, however, an additional charge for professional laundry and dry-cleaning services. Many ships also have self-service launderettes

Q: Where is Bai Tu Long Bay?

Located in Gulf of Tonkin, BaiTu Long Bay includes a wide eastern part of Ha long Bay, Van Don and Cam Pha district. There is also BaiTu Long Bay National park with biological diversity. Occupying three-quarters of the Ha Long Bay area towards eastern part, BaiTu Long Bay is one of the three triangular peaks of the World Natural Heritage. Indochina Junk is proud to be the first and only company to have luxury boats that take tourists to BaiTu Long Bay area. Being a part of Ha long Bay – the World Heritage site, BaiTu Long Bay has similar marvelous landscape as its sister – Ha long Bay. Until now, BaiTu Long Bay still remains unexplored in wide area.
